RK Legal participated in the FENCA Congress, which took place on September 18-20, 2024 in Warsaw. FENCA, or the Federation of European National Collection Associations, is an EU organization that represents the interests of the debt management sector at the European level. It coordinates exchanges with European Union institutions, representatives of the financial services industry and consumer groups.

This year’s discussions focused on topics such as new regulations on non-performing loans (NPLs), implementation of Basel III, regulations on access to financial data, and AI ACT. These are issues that directly affect the operation of the debt management industry in Europe and Poland.

Our experts, attorney Michal Rączkowski and attorney Maria Muchin-Kresa, led a session entitled “Introduction to the Polish receivables management and purchasing sector.” In front of an international audience, they showed the specifics of the Polish receivables market, with particular emphasis on modern electronic databases such as the National Debt Register (KRD) and other tools that support debt collection processes.

As a law firm, we stay up to date with changing regulations and are keen to engage in conversations about the future of the debt management industry. Participation in the FENCA Congress was a great opportunity for us to share knowledge and draw inspiration from international experts. RK Legal law firm participates in the FENCA Congress every year – it is one of the most important events in the industry. The participation of our experts as speakers is a great honor. We would like to thank FENCA for the invitation and the enthusiastic reception of our presentation.
