RK Legal represented the owner in the transaction for the sale of real estate for the construction of the headquarters of the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw. A plot of approx. 12,500 m2 in Warsaw, at ul. Marcina Flisa, between ul. Krakowiaków and ul. Łopuszańska in the Włochy district.
The purchaser of the real estate is the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw – one of the leaders in RNA biology research and publications. As the laboratory and office building at ul. Księcia Trojdena in Warsaw no longer met the Institute’s expectations, a decision was taken to build new headquarters. A state-of-the-art edifice will be built on the real estate, which will house around 20 research groups, as well as seven specialised apparatus laboratories.
RK Legal’s advice included negotiating the preliminary agreement and the agreement transferring ownership of the real estate, preparing the transaction documentation and supporting the closing of the transaction. Due to the real estate’s location adjacent to existing buildings belonging to the client, it was also necessary to safeguard the client’s interests for the duration of the investment project. RK Legal participated in the preparation of the relevant agreement.
The project was coordinated by a team consisting of attorney Marcin Jadczak and attorney Paweł Zimiński of RK Legal’s Real Property Department.
